This is the continuation of the following thread at ForexFactory:
http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=514768Hello everybody!
Welcome to my trading journal!
I began working with TZs exactly 1 month ago. Since then I have learned a lot and built number of indicators and done extensive statistical analysis and also done a bit of trading and I thought its time that I share some of my thoughts and ideas about TZs.
You will get to see my progress with TZs, the success and the struggles. I have nothing to prove and if TZs end up being terrible in giving me an edge, I will honestly say so. But based on what I have seen, there are really high probability trade setups that are possible using TZs. This will serve as my journal where I will make live calls based on TZs.
I’m opening this thread mainly because I strongly believe in serving others. It’s really difficult to serve in this Forex business as you know but I will make an effort. As many before me have said, in this game, there is nothing earned without hardwork and dedication. So don’t expect to get some holy grail from this thread or to get some step by step on how to be successful with TZs. The measure of your success will be directly proportional to your efforts.. don’t expect the fire to produce heat without you putting in some wood.
I will start this thread off by posting a screenshot of the dashboard that I’m finishing up currently. This will be my final work in TZs. I will be making improvements to it to make my trading decisions easier over the next few weeks as I use it in my live trading.
Attachment 1557727What you see are live signals for each currency and timeframe. Feel free to trade them if you wish to do so (please trade in demo only). I don’t trade all the signals. I’m working on my filtering mechanism currently. The data revealed a lot to me after studying it carefully. Without proper analysis, this can be a dangerous game.
Whenever I find time between things, I will post on this thread.
Thank you for the visit!
Wish you many green pips!

How are level probabilities obtained?
What I have is a pattern classification algorithm that scanned the entire history of the 10 pairs to find high probability TZ patterns. Then a live pattern matching occurs to show me the highest probable levels as they develop.Attachments:

So I see you labeled time left in hours (which I didn’t know before), the percent is obvious, and the first column in expectation of move in Pips right?
Yup, that is correct
I will post more on this later. Busy with talking to a few folks and I have yet to finish up the dash

I saw the post about Transcient Zone (TZ) and still learning it litle by litle.. I guess We should learning Price Action and Candlestick chart to make a better understanding about this TZ..
Hi Saver0,
Great work. At the first column, if we see GBPJPY M1 : 10 , 98.6% , (1) does it means : the TZ will be fully resolved in next 1 Minute (or 1 hour??), with distance of Plus 10 pips (the zone exist higher than current price) with probability of 98.6% ?
ThanksGIO,
HOURS, NOT MINUTES
Sorry about the caps but I program in a language that requires all caps for CNC mills. This will happen to me once in a while. I am not shouting, get used to it. :)
Ken
Thanks Ken,
If i see Saver0 image, “hours” is put at TF H1. And if i see the TF M1 for EU, it need time of 10.6. Lets assume it is 10 hours, not 10 minute. So it need 10×60=600 bars to fully resolved the TZ in M1. I can not imagine how big is the H value used for that ;)

hmm… I see your point. I guess I have to second your question to saver0, is the time left always hours or is it bars in each time frame listed?
Ken
The time left I’m showing myself as the number of hours left. I also experimented with showing it as a % and what not. There is much more detail that I can look at through expanding each cell. It’s not a static HTML table. I’m only showing you guys a bit here. I will mostly be testing out this technique. I should actually create a category called trading journals because this needs to go in there. Let me do that now and move it there

Here is the week one performance from FF trade explorer.
Here is the second week performance. Averaging about 6.5% per week. Also this week I haven’t done much trading since I’m busy with forum development so this week I’m not expecting that much of a gain.
By the way, I just started using myfxbook.com. What they have is way better than the FF trade explorer. I recommend everyone to use this instead.

Thank you PiratePip! yea, the signature looks nice! Are you able to put a line break <br> in your signature so there is a line break between the myfxbook badge and your quote?

Are you planning to make that dashboard available for us to play around at some stage?
Saver0
Are you planning to make that dashboard available for us to play around at some stage?Good question.. that’s many years of struggle and hard work that went into making it and I’m still working on it. I have thought about it. It will take me some time to make a decision. I might make a light version of it public sometime in the future. Right now my main goal is to finish the development and test it out and figure out the best way to trade the signals. There is still a lot of statistics that I need to apply in terms of settings SL/TP/Risk-to-reward, etc
Mainly what I plan to do is share how something like this can be put together so that anyone who is willing to learn can make it themselves. That way I will not only help to grow this idea further but teach them something more important that how to use a table with a bunch of numbers. Being able to make something like this is a great skill to have because then they will be able to test out all the great ideas they have. Besides, I don’t know if this is any good yet. I am still testing. A friend of mine who is testing this keeps getting his account blown. So there is still a lot that needs to be done in order to trade this concept profitably

Thank you for the encouragement guys!
Having a pretty bad week. Started playing with SL and it’s not working out so well. I need to pick proper R:R levels.. Also I made my dashboard more complicated.. maybe that got something to do with it too.. haha
Still a work in progress. I will update next week, hopefully with better results.

I too have been having a tough week friend! My probabilities are not nearly as high as I thought they were but once I figure out my Risk management will still be profitable.
Finally got into some trades I think will last but we will see. FOMC meeting had me all over the place today
Hope you make big pips, Saver0

I think you violate the rule, hehe

Very true my friend hehe
I think my dashboard will get overhauled soon, at least the probability calculations part. I need to do more in order to display appropriate and accurate probabilities.Focus, Patience, Determination & Order in chaos
