First of all: I would like to thank you for your very good work. I would like to use your indicator from post 1 for an EA.

My question: can you reduce the indicator to the following?

– Indicator buffers 0-5 and 10 & 11

– only draw boxes

– with auto optimization and ema filter

Edit:

I tested the indicator with a simple EA. For example, the EA can read the indicator buffers 4, 5, 10 and 11 but not the 0 or 1.
If the EA could read buffers 0 and 1, these two buffers would be enough for me.

I you would like to copy the signals of the indicator, use Rossbot expert advisor and make sure both Rossbot and SSBODynamicBreakoutBox have the same magic number and CopyIndicator setting of Rossbot is true.

I’ve been enjoying your masterpiece for two years. I would like to bring my strategy successes here based on a report from the strategy tester. But the indicator doesn’t work for me in the strategy tester. What do you think i am doing wrong? There is enough data.

ich erfreue mich an deinem Meisterwerk seit zwei Jahren. Gerne würde ich meine Strategieerfolge anhand eines Reports aus dem Strategietester hier einbringen. Aber im Strategietester funktioniert bei mir der Indikator nicht. Was denkst du, mache ich falsch? Daten sind genug vorhanden.

The purpose of the indicator is not to be backtested. It should be used in forward test after it has been optimized. Rossbot is suitable for backtests.

nice to have some activity again here with Rossbot and the SSBO Indicator! I changed to Mt5 and couldn’t use the EA and Indi anymore. That is really sad because both are really good tools. So my question to you is: Can you program both of them exactly in Mt5 language? Or do you know someone who could do it for little money?

Thanks for your post.  

The problem with optimizing the indicator is that the false signals are not all displayed. The optimized signals of the indicator look completely different in real trade. How is that possible? Could this possibly be due to the activated EMA?

Rossbot is copying the ssbo  indi exactly !
The signals don’t look different unless you have slippage or fast market on real account.

what do you mean with false signals?

Nice to hear from you. How are you? The signals that are set during trading hours are not identical to the signals that are set during optimization. According to my research, the optimization only sets the signal at which the price of the new candle exceeds the previous candle at which the signal should appear. This means that during the optimization only the false signals are recognizable, in which the new candle has a higher high after the signal candle.

Die Signale, die während der Handelszeit gesetzt werden, sind nicht identisch mit den Signalen die während der Optimierung gesetzt werden.

Nach meinen Recherchen, wird bei der Optimierung nur das Signal gesetzt, bei dem der Kurs der neuen Kerze die vorherige Kerze, an dem das Signal erscheinen soll, überschreitet. Das heißt, es werden bei der Optimierung nur die Fehlsignale erkennbar, bei dem die neue Kerze nach der Signalkerze ein höheres High hat.

I know this is usually not well received by Forum members but with my hand in my heart I promise you to give back any good result in order to share with all of you.

question for the group here, am I the only one who likes to put their SL further away a few pips rather than just right on the other side of the CZ right on top of the support or resistance line? if so, how do you do it using the Rossbot?

The only way I have figured out how to get the Rossbot to do this is to make the SL visible and move it manually. I tried to override the SL. I thought maybe putting in a 1.1 value in with the choice of SL Mulitplier would do the trick but it does not. But of course this process messes with the MM calculations etc.. Any thoughts?
